We have road bikes for hire at the hostel so you can explore Roundwood and the surrounding area by bicycle.   We can provide information on various cycling routes around the area, many of which will take you away from the busier roads for quieter enjoyment of the countryside.   
Ballinastoe Mountain Bike Trail, a 14km network of purpose built mountain bike trails, is 5km from  the Skylark's Rest.  Mountain bikes can be hired from local providers, Biking.ie, who also provide lessons andmountain bike tours tailored to all ability levels.  Further information on their full range of services is available on their website .
