Our rooms
The Skylark's Rest is a small hostel (maximum occupancy is 14); however, we offer a range of different room layouts to accommodate individuals, couples, families and small groups. We have also minimised the use of bunk beds (there are only 2) to make your stay more comfortable and enjoyable.
Guests can be accommodated in - Twin or double rooms;
- 4-bed dorm rooms; and,
- Family rooms with a combination of double and single beds.
Per person ratesPer person rates start at €22 and we offer a discount for children and teenagers travelling in the company of their parents/guardians. As the hostel is relatively small it is best to book in advance to ensure availability.
Groups and full hostel rentalThe Skylark's Rest is an ideal accommodation option for small groups and club outings. We've had a range of groups book in with us, including book clubs, mountain biking groups and hill-walking clubs. Full hostel rental is also possible for your group. Please contact us to discuss your group's needs or get further information on full hostel rental.

We have a 'no outdoor footwear' policy in the hostel so you might want to bring something to wear on your feet inside.
Local amenities and services
We are 500 metres from the village of Roundwood where you'll find the local shops and pharmacy as well as pubs, restaurants and fast-food take aways. You'll find an ATM inside the Centra supermarket. There's also a beauty salon if you feel you're in need of a little pampering
